Questions from home boarders
Can I charge per night?
Yes. Boarding services can be priced per night, and Trusthound works out the total from the stay's dates and the number of dogs.
Do I need a licence to board dogs at home?
No software can get you a licence. Trusthound's daily record templates follow the common licence conditions for England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, and the inspection pack puts your records in one PDF. Whether you're licensed, and your rating, is always your council's decision (in Northern Ireland, DAERA's).
Can I check vaccinations before a dog arrives?
Yes. Trusthound asks the owner for their certificate, reads the dates and waits for you to confirm. Boarding services can refuse bookings for dogs whose core vaccinations have expired.
Can owners see how their dog is doing?
Yes. Send photo updates during the stay to the owner's app, as often as you like.
